Aspects of Alice

nous allons au théâtre d'ombres et de lumières

nous attendons que la salle se remplisse

Aspects of Alice is a classic black light theatre performance based on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland'.

Aspects of Alice has played to audiences in over thirty countries, on three continents. The imagination in the performance, the poetry and perfect technical tricks make for a highly entertaining show.

This is not a word-by-word theatrical rendition of the original. The story begins at the point where Alice approaches the end of her childhood. The author conjures up in the imagination all the beautiful moments of growing-up, her first loves, awakening adulthood, understanding of life, laughter and tears, joy and sadness.

We journey back in time. King Charles IV and St. Vitus Cathedral come to life. We walk through the secret heart of the Jewish cemetery in the Old Town, before tasting freedom, as the Czech Republic is restored to it's rightful place in the heart of Europe.

The show has some wonderful contemporary music by Petr Hapka, classical music from the Má Vlast Symphony by Bedřích Smetana and the Slavonic Dances by Antonín Dvořák. Combine this with the excellent artistic design, large screen projection, animated film, live actors, puppets, unique theatrical tricks and black light effects and the result is a fine theatrical experience.

As with all black light theatre productions, the story is recounted visually and so attracts an International audience of both adults and children.

personnellement j'ai beaucoup aimé ce spectacle, même si par moments, je trouvais que c'était un peu lent
